Fencing New Zealand is pleased to confirm that Olympic Solidarity and ONOC have approved the Fencing New Zealand National High-Performance Training and Development Programme 2026.

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has announced the postponement and rescheduling of several World Cup and Grand Prix events originally scheduled for March 2026. Updated dates for these competitions have now been confirmed.
At its meeting in early March, the Board of Fencing New Zealand agreed to support participation in the Commonwealth Senior, Veteran and U23 Championships in Lagos in August, based on the information currently available.
Fencing New Zealand received 20 individual initial Expressions of Interest, and formal nominations will be called for shortly.
Further details regarding the event structure, programme, and risk mitigation arrangements are still being finalised. Additional information will be communicated as it becomes available.
Fencing New Zealand has launched a new club membership process under its updated national and regional constitutions, aligning with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
